KvikRes

KvikRes is a simple Win32 application, used to quickly change between display modes. It places an icon into the System Tray. By clicking this icon, a pop-up menu with available resolutions appears above the System Tray. This menu contains a submenu for each display resolution, the installed video card is capable to display. After the user opens one of these submenus, it displays all available color depths combined with all available refresh rates for the selected resolution. After selecting one of these modes, the display mode changes immediately. If confirmation is selected, the user needs to confirm the new mode within 15 seconds. If he won't do so or if the monitor does not support the new mode and does not display anything, the original display mode will be restored after the interval elapses. At the bottom of the main menu, there are recently changed modes, providing the fastest way to change between frequently used display modes.

This application (unlike official QuickRes application) works under both Win95/98 and WinNT4/2000.
